After the arrest of Imran Khan on May 9, all social media apps were blocked in Pakistan. And internet service was suspended across the country. Pakistan Telecommunication took this step at the behest of the Federal government. And internet services were not provided to people for five days. These included Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and some specific sites. But after five consecutive days of shutdown, internet service has also been restored across the country on May 15, and all social media platforms have also been opened. Also includes YouTube.

According to Pakistan Telecommunication, they have lost hundreds of rupees due to this five-day shutdown.
