Idols, a global money transfer operator of the Abu Dhabi Emirates Post Group, has announced the winner of a Dh5 lakh (approximately Rs. 3.82 crores) prize in a joint raffle draw campaign. Shambhu Kumar Mahto, a Nepalese expatriate and Abu Dhabi-based clerk was the lucky winner.
According to Khaleej Times, for the past 15 years, Mehto has been trying his luck with raffles but has never won anything. While watching a live stream of the raffle draw event on the Idols app, she saw her winning ticket drawn, and her luck finally changed. A phone call later confirmed the news.

Shambhu Kumar said ‘I am very grateful to Idols and Instant Cash teams for launching this campaign. As for the future, I plan to continue working for the past six years and instead of spending it now, I plan to invest that money to secure my children’s future and maybe later, Start a business from which I can live comfortably.’
